You are currently on work experience at a Community Centre. The centre provides a variety of services for people in the local area, most of whom have been referred by Social Services.
The centre is staffed by trained professionals who are supported by a team of volunteers. As a learner on work experience, you will take the role of volunteer, working with the team to provide support and care, within the boundaries of your role.

You have been asked as part of your work experience portfolio to produce a report which evaluates the success of promoting anti-discriminatory practice for three specific individuals with different needs and justifies the strategies and techniques used to overcome the ethical issues and challenges experienced by those individuals when planning and providing care. The report must also; · analyse the impact of preventing discrimination and how an ethical approach to providing support will benefit the individuals. · Assess the different methods professionals might use when building relationships and establishing trust and the strategies and communication techniques they may use to overcome the different challenges faced by individuals with different care and support needs. · Explain the skills and personal attributes necessary for professionals who provide care, how to incorporate ethical principles into the provision of support and the benefits of promoting personalisation when overcoming challenges, all in the context of individuals with different needs
